The Democratic Republic of Congo says its gigantic hydropower facility on the Inga River is the answer to Africa's electrical power shortage. The DRC's Energy Ministry says it's on the hunt for investors to fund $40bn needed to extend the Inga Hydroelectric project near the border with Angola. Inga, touted as the key to electrifying power-starved stretches of central and southern Africa, is the world's biggest hydroelectric initiative costing twice as much as the giant Three Gorges Dam in China.
