AS IF HIS BRAND of Americana weren't already quirky enough, Howe Gelb decided to employ a gospel choir on his latest release, 'Sno Angel Like You. As one would expect, this gives many of the former Giant Sand leader's songs a reverent feel, but overall, they're still very loose, wide open, and at times, outright rockin'. 'Sno Angel Like You is a fun record for long drives, lazy Sundays, or for household chores.
