    WILLIAMSBURG, Va. _ More than 300 years after they were lowered into the ground, three coffins are getting a good cleaning from Curtis Moyer. 
    The lead coffins were unearthed in 1990 during an archaeological dig in St. Mary's County, Maryland's colonial capital. They contained the remains of a man, a woman and an infant. Archaeologists believe they were buried in the early 1680s. Two of the coffins are now in a Quonset-hut-like building in a back corner of the College of William and Mary campus, where Moyer works to clean and preserve them.
