SUV owner tells threat in firebomb case.

Aug. 19--The owner of a vehicle allegedly used in a Joliet firebombing testified Friday that a defendant threatened to harm his family if he told police what he knew about the fatal attack.

In a cell phone call hours after the firebombing, Juan Santana, on trial in Will County Circuit Court, told Jose DeJesus Rodriguez "not to cooperate with the police," Rodriguez testified.

Santana, 28, is charged with murder and aggravated arson in the April 9, 2005, firebombing that killed Lourdes Nunez, 35, and her daughter Merary, 4.
