SCOTTISH football is set for another split - and the fans are equally divided on the merits of an SPL 2.

A clutch of clubs from the lower leagues want to sever their ties with the SFL and throw in their lot with the SPL from season 2008-09.

Many Hotline callers backed the move but others claim smaller clubs are being sold down the river.

Andy Elliott, Glenrothes, said: "They promised there would be consultation but all we got was confirmation of an intention to quit from the so-called bigger clubs.
