Brooks McCormick, a renowned philanthropist, conservationist and longtime head of International Harvester Corp., has died at the age of 89.
McCormick, an intensely private man, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday at his Chicago apartment, said a family spokesman who asked to remain anonymous.
