Edward R. Gallagher of 2503 Chancery Lane, Liverpool, died Friday. Our father was 85 years old. Dad was born April 12, 1921, in Syracuse, NY, the son of Edward L. and Helen L. (Solinski) Gallagher, both deceased. He was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area and graduated from Syracuse Central High in 1938. Dad served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as an electronics technician's mate from 1942 to 1948 and again during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. He achieved the rank of petty officer first class.
