I would like to commend The Post-Standard for the front page article July 23 detailing the ongoing struggle being waged by Madison and Oneida County residents against the proposed New York Regional Interconnect project.

The stories your reporters told represent thousands of stories that have come to light since this private development team revealed its plan just a few short months ago. All these stories have the same theme: NYRI would severely impact the lives of many Upstate New Yorkers and devastate many Upstate communities.
