The Minneapolis City Council has voted for the demolition of the former Gustavus Adolphus Hall in south Minneapolis, more than two years after fire gutted the 82-year-old structure.

The council decided Friday on the building at 1628 E. Lake St. after the owner, Floyd Olson, did not respond to the city's repeated demands for rehabilitation. The building was the longtime home of the Gustavus Adolphus Society, a Swedish fratern...
