Aug. 3--Without a generator, many South Floridians were forced to sit in the dark after the past two seasons' hurricanes, waiting for the power to come back. This year, many who bought generators are being victimized by black market demand. Criminals are capitalizing on the popularity of the much-wanted, sometimes-expensive machines.

"With the unprecedented hurricane seasons we've had, they're a desirable item," Delray Beach Police Lt. Marc Woods said. And the thieves are hard to catch. There have been no arrests in Delray ...
