Aug 01, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Nine Network's "Dancing on Ice" reality TV program has had a positive impact on Victoria's sole remaining ice skating rink. Over the years to 2006, ice skating facilities in St Kilda, Moorabbin, Dandenong, Bayswater, Footscray and Ringwood have closed due to declining demand, leaving only the Olympic Park Ice Skating Rink at Oakleigh. The facility is nearly full from 6:00am until midnight during winter, although the summer seasons are quieter. Word of mouth is the business's best marketing strategy. ...
