TO THOSE who came of.political age during the period following World War II, Representative Walter Judd was a jewel in the crown of American conservatism. His fiery eloquence was the outward reflection of his thorough decency.

A physician and missionary with long experience in China, he opposed Japanese expansionism and militarism during the 1930s, and was taken prisoner by the Japanese.
