BRAVE Rhyl bowed out of Europe after an entertaining match in Lithuania - but all the team's thoughts were away from football last night.

The Lilywhites held their own in losing 2-1 to Lithuanian full-timers FK Suduva in muggy conditions.

But the result was far less important than the serious injury suffered by one of the youngest members of the squad.

Striker Chris Sharp, on for only four minutes, collapsed in agony after a challenge with home keeper Gytis Padi-manskas.
