Johannesburg - Prestasi brokers, owned by Pamodzi Investment Holdings, and Thebe Risk Services, a unit of Thebe Investments, sealed their merger yesterday with the launch of a new short-term insurer, Indwe Risk Services.

Indwe, a Xhosa name for the blue crane, will take over the 120 000 clients from the two short-term insurers. Earlier this year, Pamodzi and Thebe announced they would merge the units to create a more efficient company combining their strengths, streamlining work and cutting duplication.
