Dominic Paul DiMaggio is one of the most underrated players in baseball history. He was the sparkplug of the Boston Red Sox from 1940 to 1953. Mace Brown, Pirates and Red Sox pitcher from 1935-1946, said that Dom DiMaggio and Terry Moore were the greatest center fielders he ever saw. Johnny Pesky said he was a perfect player. He played in the shadow of his older brother and of his famous teammate, Ted Williams. They called him TheLittle Professor.
