Translations of the numerous Latin writings of John Wyclif are few and far between, and, given the frequent obscurity for a modern reader of the ideas involved, are always welcome. The choice of the De Simonia is perhaps less than ideal, since the work does not reveal Wyclif at his most innovatory or least repetitive.
