William Warner Moss, Jr., John Marshall Professor of Government and Citizenship, Emeritus, died on March 6, 1993, aged 91. He received his A.B. degree from the University of Richmond and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University. After serving as assistant professor at New York University from 1928 to 1937, he came to the College of William and Mary to be chairman of the government department.
