Jincheng Anthracite Mining Group (JAMG, previously called Jincheng Coal Industry Group) held a ground breaking ceremony on May 27th, 2006 in Shanxi province to celebrate the start of the construction of the 100 000t/a coal-to-oil (CTO) demonstrative project. This project is the first one in China to adopt low-grade anthracite, which has high sulfur content, high ash content and high ash melt point, as raw material and the domestic gasification technology that China owns its intellectual property right.
