* Fun for cats; some cats like it dried, others fresh. In humans, catnip is a good muscle relaxant when drunk (either in tea, infusion, or tincture). When smoked, catnip is a pain reliever somewhere between Ultram and Lortab in strength. The effect is similar to marijuana, though legal, not as strong, and longer lasting. In my experience, pain relief is immediate, but it will fuzz your head for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the pain relieving effect goes down a touch, but your head clears.
