TODAY Stephen Nixon celebrates Fathers' Day with the best present ever - baby Ava's fresh chance of life.
Daughter Ava has been given another opportunity to battle a rare form of leukaemia with a bone marrow transplant in Germany.
Ava, who will celebrate her first birthday this week, now has a chance of living to see her second.
Her parents, Stephen 23 and Fiona, 25, begged hospital chiefs: "Don't let our baby die." And on Thursday her health board agreed to finance the procedure.
