DRIVERS on a main road into Glasgow are encountering a new road hazard... deer.

In just over a year there have been 17 serious accidents caused by roe deer on a mile-long stretch of the A81 near Milngavie.

A police spokesman said : "This stretch of the A81 is on a major commuter route. It's a fast stretch of road with high traffic volume."

Now the Deer Commission have been called in to come up with ways to control ...
