When Franciscans unveil a 26-by-8-foot mural on the front of a North Salina Street building today, they're making a literal and symbolic statement about their role in Syracuse.
"We would like to think we are a major player in the life of the city and in this neighborhood in particular," said Sister Patricia Burkard, general minister of the Sisters of St. Francis.
