For the past two years, Chaunta Chalmers has probably spent more time at the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk than she has at home in Suffolk.
Shortly after her daughter, Jasmine, was born on Nov. 20, 2003, she was diagnosed with congenital heart disease.
Arriving four weeks early, she weighed only 3 pounds, 4 ounces. Throughout Jasmine's 2 years, she has been hospitalized often, and for as much as nine weeks at a time.
