A welsh-trained actress has defended the Tarantino-esque Shakespearean production which has seen audience members fainting at the Globe Theatre. Laura Rees says Titus Andronicus is being staged as Shakespeare intended, including scenes of rape, mutilation and murder. The theatre has issued warnings of the play's gruesome nature to audience members after a series of faintings.
