Jun. 6--TOKYO -- The Tokyo metropolitan government and Sharp Corp. have jointly applied to construct one of Japan's largest solar power generation systems as part of a research project by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization, Tokyo government sources said Tuesday.
