Wanna know a bad omen for a horror movie? When it spends an hour or more trying to decide what kind of horror movie it's going to be.

Early scenes in the remake of "The Omen" suggest the old-fashioned mode that's currently popular in Asian shockers, where we spend a lot of time wondering what scares are around the corner and where inventive camera angles, rather than inventive decapitating, give the violence impact.
