Jun. 2--The 88th annual Livermore Rodeo, despite its macho image, is going pink -- yes, pink -- this year in efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The rodeo will ride into town June 10 and 11 at Robertson Park off Arroyo Road, with a week's worth of prerodeo activities to be launched this Saturday with a downtown Western Heritage Celebration.
The rodeo's opening day theme will be "tough enough to wear pink," with cowboys, rodeo officials, volunteers and the public at-large being asked to wear something pink -- ...
