Cooper will close fluid systems plant

DETROIT - Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. plans to close its Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, tube-manufacturing plant in the third quarter of this year and transfer production to other plants, the company said.

The Ontario plant is run by Global Fluid Systems, a division of Cooper-Standard. The unit operates 19 plants in North America; 65 employees work at the Sault Ste. Marie plant.
