Commerce center to open Thursday: Facility will be model for state, mayor says.

May 31--More than a year after a planned "center for commerce" was first publicly discussed, several local business-related agencies will open their door together Thursday in the Chase Bank building downtown.

By putting the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Corp. and Owensboro Metropolitan Planning Commission together, local leaders hope to make it easier for businesses to start or locate in Owensboro.
