May 31--UMB Financial Corp. has settled with a former internal auditor who claimed he was fired after uncovering the sale of three Thomas Hart Benton lithographs to a bank director.
The settlement was reached just before the case filed by Jeff Whitman was scheduled to go to trial Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court . Terms of the agreement were confidential but involved the payment of money by UMB Financial, the parent company of UMB ...
