I'M LOOKING forward to watching Clare Balding stride up to Andre Fabre on Saturday and say: "Andre, your Derby record is appalling, isn't it? I suppose Visindar's going to get stuffed?"

Fabre is one of the world's great trainers and he has had plenty of success at Epsom - an Oaks and five Coronation Cups - but his record in the Derby is woeful. In seven attempts, Fabre has never had a horse finish better than ninth, or finish in the first half of the field.
