Facial tissue prices to be raised amid crude oil price hike.

May 24--TOKYO -- Crecia Corp. said Wednesday it will raise wholesale prices of facial tissue and other household paper products around 25 percent July 18 to cope with a crude oil price hike.

The retail price of Crecia's mainstay five-box tissue package is expected to rise to some 250 yen from about 200 yen if all of the July wholesale price hike is passed on to consumers.

Crecia, the household paper products maker under the umbrella of Nippon Paper Group Inc., sells facial tissue products under the Kleenex and Scottie brands. Other Japanese paper makers, including Oji ...
