Senior attackman Matt Ward scored three goals and added a career-high five assists as top-seeded Virginia (15-0) advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse championships with a 20-8 victory over eighth-seeded Georgetown (12-3) at Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson (Md.) University on Sunday afternoon.

The undefeated Cavaliers will face Syracuse (10-4) in the first semifinal game on Saturday at Philadelphia.
