A FAMILY from Wirral whose lives were ruined in a car crash caused by a millionaire motorist are suing police after he escaped a drink-drive charge.

Father-of-three Matt Thomson suffered permanent brain damage and his toddler daughter was left fighting for her life when a lorry ploughed into their car, after swerving to avoid Hywel James Rowley's pounds 50,000 Land Rover.

Millionaire Rowley was charged with drink-driving after the accident last August but his celebrity lawyer Nick Freeman, nicknamed Mr Loophole, successfully argued on a technicality to get the charge ...
