Int'l TV Acad fetes Spielberg.(Steven Spielberg)(Brief article)

Steven Spielberg will receive the Intl. Emmy Founders Award from the Intl. Academy of TV Arts & Sciences on Nov. 20 for outstanding work that crosses cultural boundaries.

The announcement was made Tuesday by I-Academy prexy-CEO Bruce Paisner.

The producer-director will accept the honor during the 34th I-Emmy Awards gala in New York City.

"Steven Spielberg has a long and distinguished career in television," Paisner said. "As in his movies, he has the ability to move us and entertain us in equal measure."
