St Tropez stopped being a humble French fishing village and became the favourite sunspot of the rich, the beautiful and the famous, the moment when, half a century ago, French filmmaker Roger Vadim chose it as the location for his movie And God Created Woman. The star was his 21-year-old wife, Brigitte Bardot.
