ENGLISH import Akimbo looks as though he will take all the beating in the featured Gowran Park Race at the Kilkenny track this afternoon.

Just eight horses have been declared for the seven-furlong contest and it looks an ideal opportunity for Akimbo to make his first start for trainer James Leavy a winning one.

A son of Kingmambo and the high class racemare All At Sea, he was always well regarded during his time with Henry Cecil but is still a very lightly raced.
