Pop-rock singer-songwriter Barbie Almalbis calls her first major concert "Barbie Rocks The Big Dome" at Araneta Coliseum on May 19 a "step of faith" that she hopes would open the country's biggest concert arena to artists like her.

"Rock music is big on radio but when was the last time you heard a local rock artist headline Araneta?" she says during a recent interview.
