OPINION: U.S. Air Force downsizing a sensitive issue.

May 18--Last week was a tough week for us at F. E. Warren Air Force Base. We had to tell 11 young officers they would not be continuing their career in the Air Force and will be separated by October.

On Friday, the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle ran a front page story about our Force Shaping Board, and two of our lieutenants affected by this board had a chance to tell their side of the story. As the wing commander, I'd like to add a senior officer's perspective to this sensitive issue.
