This supereasy recipe delivers a surprisingly complex soup, courtesy of all the ground cumin (yes, 2 tablespoons is the correct amount). It's from David Ansel's cookbook, "The Soup Peddler's Slow & Difficult Soups: Recipes & Reveries," but it's neither slow nor difficult _ just delicious. We added shredded cheese and cilantro to top it off.
