Motorcycling in 1939: riding the Smoky Mountains on vintage Harleys.

Roaring up the twisty dirt road high and deep in the North Carolina Mountains, the two genuine 1939 Harleys pass truck after pickup truck hauling shabby homemade dog kennels filled with Red Tick Hounds howling to be set free. It's fall, and it's bear hunting season up here. Except for the '60s vintage pickups, all is as it would have been on a motorcycle ride in 1939: The genuine crackle of the flathead Harley-Davidsons, genuine leathers, genuine roads and the bears and other wildlife running like hell from the baying hounds.
