May 5--The lawsuit doesn't get into the issue of custody of Babe the Blue Ox.
The Ohio Forestry Association, however, has asked a federal judge in Columbus to protect the trade group's rights to Paul Bunyan, the legendary lumberjack who owned Babe.
The lawsuit, filed April 26 in U.S. District Court, says that Hocking College in Nelsonville is illegally promoting a knock-off version of the association's annual Paul Bunyan Show, with a similar name and the same date: the first weekend in October.
