May 5--As the sun rose over East Hills Middle School Thursday, two teachers intent on reviving history in all its gory detail set about recreating an 18th century Revolutionary War hospital. Medicinal herbs and rows of surgical knives were neatly arranged. Plastic limbs lay strewn about one table. Blood splatter was created with crimson paint on aprons, rags and the cloth-covered operating tables fashioned out of wooden slats placed over crudely constructed barrels.
