Within the Gettysburg-Newark section of the Piedmont in Pennsylvania lie mineral resources that are both important and interesting. Several of these localities, such as the Cornwall Iron mine in Lebanon County and the French Creek mine in Chester County, have yielded world-class mineral specimens.
