Apr. 26--FREDERICK -- The owner of one of Frederick County's Underground Railroad sites is concerned that Maryland's guide to the Underground Railroad is flawed.
The state's guide lists just 21 Underground Railroad sites and includes only one of more than 50 sites in Frederick County -- the Catoctin Iron Furnace in Thurmont, described as a place of enslavement, said Peter Michael, whose family's Cooling Springs Farm in Adamstown is one of many unofficial Underground Railroad sites.
