Apr. 27--Shares of Zebra Technologies Corp. sank 12 percent Wednesday after the firm reported first-quarter profit and sales that fell short of Wall Street's expectations. Vernon Hills-based Zebra, which makes bar-code printers, posted earnings of $26.1 million, or 37 cents a share, compared with $25.8 million, or 36 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Analysts had been expecting earnings of 39 cents a share for the most recent quarter, according to Thomson Financial. Zebra also fell short of analysts' sales estimates of $180 million. The ...
