Apr. 26--Village of Pewaukee -- Waukesha Ald. Joseph C. La Porte is under investigation on allegations of shaking and slapping his wife when she refused to take a Communion wafer during a Catholic service.
La Porte, 85, did not return a phone call seeking comment Tuesday. His wife, Marion, 85, is a resident of the River Hills West Healthcare Center, suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
