COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ Zebulon Montgomery Pike not only failed to reach the top of the mountain that taunted him, he also failed to climb to the top of his own family tree.
When the Pike Family Association gathers for a reunion this summer in Colorado Springs, its members will honor some of their most famous relatives:
Robert Pike.
Norman Neal Pike.
Albert Pike.
And that other guy, Zebulon Montgomery, who explored this part of Colorado 200 years ago.
