Apr. 18--SAN FRANCISCO -- Eleven men and women who survived the Great Quake of 1906 arrived at Lotta's Fountain in vintage police convertibles Tuesday, sirens cleaving the stillness before dawn. They blew kisses to the crowd and unleashed bashful smiles on their wrinkled faces, knowing just how fortunate they were to attend the city's centennial commemoration after emerging from the nation's most destructive earthquake.
