Winning six Boston Marathons in a row is one thing. Obliterating the field on such a consistent basis is another.

As so often is the case when it comes to men's wheelchair racer Ernst Van Dyk, it wasn't close yesterday. Van Dyk led from the gun and never was challenged in his record sixth straight Boston win, maintaining the stranglehold he's had on the event since first breaking the tape in 2001.

Van Dyk, of South Africa, won in 1:25:29, well ahead of second-place countryman Krige Schabort (1:29:04). Josh Cassidy was the top American, ...
